Without much of a transition from Summer into Fall, our weather lately has been cold enough to consider it Winter already! Luckily, we had a nice Saturday and managed to sneak out for a bit to enjoy the weather. I know the days are numbered and soon enough we'll be stuck inside for the long haul...and that gets harder with each passing year as the kids get bigger and have seemingly more energy to burn! Anyhow, I took my camera to capture some pics of the kids playing in the leaves. They loved it!

Halloween Fun
It was another fun and busy Halloween in the Sturm home!
We started the fun by carving pumpkins with Grandma, Grandpa, and TiTi. The kids always have so much fun digging in the slimy pumpkin guts! This year, Caleb drew his own face on and Grandpa helped carve it out. Leah and Joel just stayed busy trying to find all the pumpkin seeds.
I had the joy of being a room mom for Caleb's party at school. The party went well and the kids all seemed to have a blast. It ended with just enough time to fly over to Leah's preschool to hand out candy while they trick-or-treated inside the building. I forgot to bring my camera in though. Thankfully Nana Pam was there and since she doesn't go anywhere without a camera, I know she has a few good shots to share.
The weather was gloomy ALL day on Halloween. All of the kids had gotten over or were in the process of getting over a nasty cough, so venturing out in the rain didn't sound like a good idea. God was kind enough to give us about an hour break in the weather and we ended up having a great time. Joel wasn't so happy at first, but eventually he realized that trick-or-treating involved candy that he could eat....and from then on, he was quite pleased with the whole process!
We tagged along with our neighbors for trick-or-treating and I think it made the night even more fun for the kids. It's so sweet to see memories being made with such wonderful friends!
