For the second summer in a row, my sister hosted baseball players for our local minor league team - the Joliet Slammers. This year, she took in two players. Adam, from Florida, managed to last the whole summer, but the other players kept coming and going. The kids really enjoyed getting to know Adam and also adored the final move-in, Josh. Caleb was really into going to the games with TiTi and knew a lot about the various players. Leah enjoyed going, despite being deathly afraid of the mascots! Joel only managed to make it to a couple games, but had a blast when he went. The kids develop such a sweet relationship with the players and it is hard to say goodbye. Hopefully we will get a return visit from them like we did with Jonathan from last year!
