Florida 2016

Another spring break has come and gone. With that comes thousands of great memories and some very thankful children and parents. It has been wonderful to carry on a tradition from my childhood and we are all so thankful that my parents still take us on this trip every year. Truth be told, this vacation was a LOT of work when the kids were younger. There were moments of wondering if we'd ever get a beach vacation where we could just relax. Thankfully, those days are here!

The first couple days were cool and rainy, but we managed to stay occupied indoors. It was nice to be forced to just lay low and relax. After the first two days, we had great weather and made the most of the beach and pool. The forecast for our final day kept looking worse and worse as the week went on, so we made the decision to head home early. We ended up stopping in Louisville and made a trip to the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. Overall, the trip was incredibly fun and relaxing....just what our whole family needed!

Running free after two days of rain.
Still a bit chilly for the adults!
Easter Fun

Beach Time

This kid is OBSESSED with kites!
Popsicles after lunch
Strawberry Daiquiris....yum!

Swimming like fish.

A walk on the pier....where we got to see a bunch of dolphins (and fearless birds)!

Walking out to the sandbar when the water was exceptionally calm.

They even got their ocean-fearing mom out there!
This fearless child captured a frog with his bare hands and also spent a lot of time hunting lizards.

Family Fun

Detour on the way home. The kids did have fun, despite the looks on their faces!
