School is O-V-E-R

It's hard to believe that another year has come and gone. The kids in the house are all definitely ready for summer and endless hours of fun. The mom in the house is definitely ready to see the end of forced wake-ups in the morning, hurried breakfasts, making lunches, doing homework, and running around every evening to various activities.

Joel's class spent one of their last days eating ice cream and Ranch Frosty...it was a pretty chilly day, but that didn't stop them!

Leah, the school loving little lady, was quite sad to see the year come to an end.

It's just impossible to accept the fact that Caleb is done with SECOND GRADE!!!

This is what Summer is all about...playing hard all day long until the sun goes down, making memories with family and friends, and just plain having fun!

Musical Mania

This Spring, we've been busy getting into the musical mood. All three kids had musicals at their schools and all three did a great job performing!

Leah's school did a circus themed show. Each class sang one song. Her song was called "Magical Monkey" and she knew every word and move by heart. For a kid who stood frozen on the stage at her first preschool performance, she's come a long way!

Caleb's class prepared for their musical for several months prior to the show. His music teacher has quite a gift, because the show was spectacular. The whole second grade sang songs together and each class also did their own song with dance moves. Caleb's class did a song about dogs and puppies, which was quite appropriate for our dog-loving child!

Joel's preschool performance was the last of the season. As always, it did not disappoint. The songs, dances, and costumes we just adorable. Joel is definitely our little entertainer. I think we knew that would be the case from very early on with this boy - he's always loved to make people smile!

Daisy Fun

Leah has been keeping quite busy with her Daisy troop these days. Our latest two adventures were to a Mother/Daughter bowling event and a horse farm. At the bowling event, we got a behind-the-scenes tour of the bowling alley. Leah was fascinated by how everything works at the end of each lane. The horse farm visit was on an unseasonably cold day in May, but we made the most of it. Leah's favorite two activities were feeding the baby animals and riding a horse (for the first time ever)! She was squealing with delight while riding up and down the short sidewalk path on the big, giant horse!

Mother's Day Pampering

Each year, the kindergarten kids host a salon day for the special ladies in their life. The kids get to do a craft, make jewelry, paint nails, and do hair for their guest. Leah was lucky enough to have two guests this year. Grandma Leslie and I had a lot of fun being spoiled for the upcoming Mother's Day holiday!
