South Haven

We just about reached the six month mark of not seeing our "Florida friends", so it was time to plan another get together! Between work schedules and our busy kids, it's not always easy to find a weekend to get together, but the stars aligned and we found two nights to get away with the Christoffs. We stayed at an adorable AirBnB in South Haven. We all had a blast catching up, exploring the town, hanging at the beach, and laughing nonstop. Time with this family is truly great and we are so thankful that distance doesn't make this friendship difficult. We always pick back up right where we left off and leave one another with giant hugs that have to last us until we meet again! 

Kentucky Adventure

The first week of June was a week off of football for Caleb, so we had a bit of freedom in our schedule. When planning time off for the summer, Tyler took the three weeks off that Caleb had off from football and we began to plan our trips around that. This particular week was still wide open, so we planned a rather last minute trip down to Kentucky to visit Mammoth Cave National Park and had some of the Evans fam come with. We found a great AirBnB near Nolin Lake with the hopes of getting some lake time in when we weren't at the caves. Unfortunately, major flooding made that a bit tricky, but there was still a chance to do a bit of fishing. Even without much time on the water, we had a blast taking walks, playing games, enjoying the hot tub, singing karaoke, making smores, and playing in the game room at the house. It was the most wonderful way to kick off summer break!
