Colorado

We just got back from the most amazing (and exhausting) family vacation! Our neighbors gave us this recommendation years ago and we were finally sold on it when another set of family friend suggested it this past year. We spent almost an entire week in the gorgeous Colorado Rockies at a YMCA family camp called Snow Mountain Ranch. We made the 16 hour journey out there in one day and packed in five full days of fun before heading home (with a quick detour to see our cherished family friends in Colorado Springs). Our neighbors/friends/family, the Rojas crew, joined us on this adventure and we absolutely loved our time with them.

The view as you head towards the mountains is breathtaking!

We loved hanging out at the rec center.

There were so many fun parks on property...and an awesome mini golf course.

Fishing was successful for Caleb only.
We loved the low ropes course.

The views from our cabin were amazing! If we weren't just sitting there admiring the view, we were playing games or enjoying big family meals together.

The tubing hill was a blast!

Everyone enjoyed the craft center.

The rock was was definitely a challenge...unless, of course, you're Joel!

 Zip lining was awesome!
Some people might become future hunters with Tyler!

Everyone had an amazing time with white water rafting!

We loved meeting the sled dogs.

So many beautiful hiking trails...not nearly enough time to enjoy them all.

There's always time for ice cream and s'mores!

We are so glad we took a detour to see Mark, Madelyn, and Lydia!

So Long School....Summer is Here

This school year felt eternally long, and was filled with so many ups, downs, left turns, and right. These kids worked so hard and did such a phenomenal job of adjusting to the constant changes. It wasn't easy, but they gained so much and are all better humans because of the life skills they acquired during this crazy year! We are beyond proud of these four and all that they've accomplished this year. It was especially exciting to watch Nyla walk across that stage. Despite so many odds stacked up against her, she has succeeded and is on to do GREAT things in college and beyond!
