Matthiessen State Park

With the gorgeous weather over Memorial Day weekend, and a wide open schedule, we decided to take a trip to Matthiessen State Park. It's been a rainy spring, so the ground was quite muddy and wet, but that didn't stop us from having a great time with Grandpa, Grandma, TiTi, and the dogs. The kids had a blast exploring and it was fun to see them appreciate the fun that comes with hiking and being outdoors.

Preschool Program and Graduation

This year's preschool program was quite bittersweet. After quite a few years of being part of this wonderful preschool, it's finally time to say goodbye. We are so grateful for the love these teachers have poured into our kids over the years.

This year's program was called Happy Trails. We sure loved watching our little cowboy hamming it up on the stage. He's been "performing" these songs for years thanks to his big sister's never-ending love for the songs and dances of her preschool days. She's directed Joel in this performance countless times and his expertise showed!

We held back the tears as we watched one final graduation ceremony. It's hard to believe that the baby who was in my belly when we started at the preschool has now graduated from there! Time sure flies.

Mother's Day

This year, we had a pretty low key Mother's Day. In the week prior, the first grade classes hosted a sweet, little gathering. Moms got to come in and make crafts, take pictures, play games, read books, and have treats with their kids. Also before Mother's Day, the kiddos hung out at Nana Pam and Ed's house for an afternoon and crafted all kinds of sweet gifts for the special women in their life. Grandma, TiTi, and I loved opening our very special gifts.

On Mother's Day, we had Nana Pam and Grandma over for lunch. It was a nice, relaxing afternoon. We spent the evening with some of the Lamont family having a yummy dinner and finished the day with one of Mommy's favorites - ice cream!
