A yearly tradition from my childhood was to head to Lake Lawn in Wisconsin every MLK weekend in January. I have so many fun memories of my time there as a kid and it's so exciting to see this tradition continuing. Over the past few years, we've gone sometime in December, but this year we waited a bit longer.
We had such a great time on our weekend away with Grandpa, Grandma, and TiTi. There was plenty of time for relaxing and just enjoying being together. We all had a lot of fun hanging out and taking advantage of all that Lake Lawn Resort has to offer.
The game room is always a big hit.
We had absolutely PERFECT weather to be outside. A bit more snow might have been nice, but we had plenty of fun without it.
The kids had a blast ice skating and playing broomball on the lake.
The miniature golf course wasn't buried under snow, so the kids played on a few holes.
Hot cocoa after playing outside for the afternoon.
There was lots of game playing, craft making, tv watching, and snuggle time back in our room.
Who doesn't love a bubble bath in a giant tub?!?
The kids loved swimming...even though the water was a bit chilly for (doesn't-have-an-ounce-of-fat) Joel.
Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for keeping this special tradition alive. We had an AWESOME trip!
