Florida 2026

This year's trip to Florida was bittersweet for sure. Ever since Caleb was two, we've been making this trip to the beach each spring (minus the year that Joel was born and the year of Covid). Unfortunately, college spring breaks fall way earlier than high school ones, so this was his last trip to the beach for the foreseeable future. Knowing that, we soaked up every ounce of fun and made a ton of memories for sure! We rented a new house this year. It was on the bay side of the island, but still within walking distance to the beach. The house was wonderful both inside and out. The yard and pool were amazing with so much room to spread out in the sun and shade. We also loved that the house came stocked with a ton of extras...including three bikes, which were so fun to have! Another favorite part of the trip was having the company of our good friends for a portion of the week. We all had a blast hanging out with the Evans boys and Miss Mel. The days followed similar rhythms with slow paced mornings, pool time, beach time, basketball, tennis, walks, and evenings that ended with intense games of Mexican trains. It was a perfectly relaxing week that gave us the right amount of recharge as we head into the busy final months of the school year.
