Last Thursday we were lucky enough to spend the night with the Kennedy family. Kevin and Kendra are college friends who got married last year and moved far across the country to Washington where Kevin is stationed in the Navy. Many months back when we found out we were pregnant, we were so excited to find out that they were expecting as well. Mia was born just a few days before Caleb on March 17. We couldn't wait until the two could finally meet, and were very happy to know that they were coming into town last week. We enjoyed having dinner together, reminiscing of the days when Kevin and Tyler shared a room in the SigEp house, and of course discussing how much our lives have changed since then as we are now all parents...scary!!! It was great to watch our babies together and know that someday they'll be able to run around and play with each other while we tell them all the fun stories of how their dads survived a crazy year as roommates in college. It was also awesome to be able to watch another baby who is pretty much the exact same age as Caleb. So many of their mannerisms are the same and it's funny to realize that all those strange noises our little guy makes and silly things he does are probably pretty normal! All in all, it was a great time and we certainly hope to get to hang out with Kevin, Kendra, and Mia again in the near future!
